As a residential architect specializing in mountain homes, I’m frequently asked to recommend a builder I trust completely. My unequivocal answer is Tom Tadra and Tadraco.
When Tadraco takes on a project, clients receive a home of exceptional craftsmanship-inside and out. Tom and his crew are meticulous with every detail, and it shows most in the flawless finishes that elevate the entire residence. Tom is personally on site with every trade, anticipating challenges and resolving them long before they become issues.
With decades of experience building in the high country, Tom has mastered the art of transforming even the most difficult sites into stunning, enduring homes. When I refer a client to Tadraco, I know the final product will exceed expectations and reflect the vision we designed together.
Edie M. Stevenson, Architect
This was our first experience building a Custom home. We met Tom while we were still in Texas. Tom communicated well and earned our confidence and trust long distance and quickly.
Tom provided expert guidance for initial design with the architect as well as refinements during the build.
He parsed decisions needed to not overwhelm us.
Recommendations from his decades of mountain design and building experience were always brilliant and welcomed.
Helped us with final decisions for everything from fixtures, materials, and colors. Mocking up layout after enough walls were up to visualize the 3 dimensions rather than flat drawings. Encouraged our unique design ideas resulting in a collaboration.
Approachable, listened to our wants and needs.
Knew the zoning and building code requirements as well as professional relationship with the County Inspectors
Tom was present onsite thru the entire process.
Hand picked the needed Trades, and successfully managed them.
Tadraco crew are meticulous, dedicated craftsmen, comfortable and so pleasant to work closely with, that we thought of them as our extended family.
How fortunate we are to have Tom, Nick, Keith and Will build a home that continues to amaze us everyday.

We worked with Tadraco to complete a full house remodel that was so extensive that, after demolition, no wiring, plumbing, glass, flooring or sheeting remained. Our house started as an outdated 1950’s cabin that already had various additions completed between the 60’s and 90’s which resulted in a layout that was undesirable, inefficient, and an interior that was drastically outdated. Tom Tadra and his team worked tirelessly to bring our vision to reality resulting in what has now become an essentially new house with modern appeal that meets current day efficiencies. Our project seemed to hit on all construction aspects including structural reconfiguration, new foundation wall, drainage improvements, excavations, new utilities, new roof geometries and living space additions. Tadraco’s level of experience was essential in addressing the daily problem solving that came with renovating such a complicated house.
I really appreciated that Tom is a self-performing contractor that is onsite every day directing his talented crew. Where subs were needed, Tom has a list of established and reliable contractors arriving on schedule. We learned that completing a remodel like this is an ever- changing scope and felt that Tadraco was in our corner and held our best interest in providing appropriate cost options for the best quality construction. We are thrilled with the final product and love our house.

They’re not only exceptional builders but genuinely good people who take pride in doing things the right way. Tom is honest, reliable and incredibly easy to communicate with. He listens, offers thoughtful suggestions and makes the entire process feel smooth and stress free. His crew is professional, respectful and skilled in every aspect of their craft. You never have to worry about micromanaging or double checking because Tom and his team hold themselves to the highest standards.
The final results of our project well exceeded our lofty expectations. After completing our project we truly consider Tom and his crew like family. It’s rare to find a team that delivers such exceptional results while being such a pleasure to work with. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.”
